Hi, I’m Julie — an integrative counsellor based in Cheshunt, Waltham Cross, and I’m glad you’ve found your way here.
Hummingbird Counselling is more than just a place to talk — it’s a space I’ve poured a lot of heart into. Over the years, through my work with the NHS, Hertfordshire Mind Network, and in private practice, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through all sorts of challenges. What I’ve learned is that every journey is different, and there’s no ‘right’ way to feel or heal.
You might be here because something feels heavy or unclear. Maybe life has thrown something unexpected your way, or perhaps you have just been quietly carrying too much for too long. Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I offer a warm, down-to-earth counselling space where you can pause, catch your breath, and feel truly heard.
I offer integrative therapy, which means I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I draw from different therapeutic ideas and talking therapy models, tailoring our sessions to suit you. Some people come wanting to explore a specific issue like anxiety, grief, low mood, or relationship challenges. Others just know something isn’t sitting right. However it looks, we’ll gently explore things together — at your pace, in your way.
I offer in-person counselling in Cheshunt, Waltham Cross (East Hertfordshire), and I also work online with clients across the UK and beyond — ideal if you’re juggling a busy life, not local, or simply feel most comfortable in your own space (slippers always welcome).
